Pastoral Ministry at St. Peter
St. Peter aims to care for the spiritual needs of our parishioners at all stages of life’s journey. To get involved or for questions, please call the Parish Office at 612-866-5089.
When Pastoral Care is Needed
If your parent or someone you know in the parish has become a resident of a healthcare center or assisted living center, or if someone is homebound, please call 612-866-5089 so that arrangements can be made to visit. Also, please call the parish office to arrange for someone to visit your loved one in the hospital, when possible. We would especially like to follow-up with them upon their return home or to the nursing home.
In Case of Emergency
To reach a priest because of an emergency call the parish office at 612-866-5089. If calling after hours, press option 1 after hearing our recorded voicemail greeting; please be patient as there will be a long pause during the connection to Fr. Liekhus or Fr. David.
Communion for the Sick or Homebound
To bring communion to the sick or homebound is very simple. Start with a call to Director of Pastoral Care Sheila Przesmicki (612-866-5019) to get set up. On the day of your visit, come to the office and someone will get a host for you. If you are at Mass on the day of the visit, you may have a host placed in your pyx at communion time.
How You Can Help
One of St. Peter’s strengths is its pastoral ministry, which happens in a variety of important ways. Homebound Communion, visits to care centers and hospitals, and grief ministry are all used to provide for our parishioners’ pastoral needs.
